We are excited to share our accomplishments over the past three weeks. We are on track to launch the fiscal year (FY) 2027 application in the coming days. Our staff are diligently assisting grantees with account reactivation for the Impact Aid Grant System (IAGS) and supporting core users in updating their district’s secondary user information for the 2025-2026 school year.

FY 2026 Payment Updates

Under the current continuing resolution that goes through January 30, 2026, we received $541,609,607. With those funds we have processed 128 early payment requests, 762 initial payments for Section 7003(b) at a 50% proration, and 194 foundation payments for Section 7002.

FY 2027 Application Launch Resources

The Impact Aid Section 7002 and Section 7003 applications for FY 2027 will be available in the IAGS on Monday, December 8, 2025.  The deadline to submit both applications is Monday, February 2, 2026.

Reminder: Your application is not complete until the signature task is submitted. Applications with the status “Application” or “Signature” are not complete.

Core User Reminders

• Each local educational agency (LEA) must have one – and only one – core user. A core user is an authorized representative of the school district and is able to sign the grant application’s assurances. To add or remove a core user, request a new account or contact your Impact Aid state analyst. New core users will receive instructions for account setup by email and may find this IAGS user guide helpful.
• Core users can create or manage up to two IAGS accounts for others.
• We are asking each core user to confirm that all necessary accounts are set up in the IAGS. Please review our recent announcement and User Management Guide for Core Users for detailed instructions.
• If you have not logged in recently, you can request account reactivation by entering your email in the green box.
• The Login.gov helpdesk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached through https://login.gov/help or by phone at (844) 875-6466.

• If your LEA claims children residing on Indian Land, review the Indian Policies and Procedures resources. You must submit Indian Policies and Procedures (IPPs) or an IPP Waiver for your application to be complete.
• If your LEA plans to collect 7003 survey data online for the first time, you must submit a proposal by December 5, 2025, for the Impact Aid Program to review and approve. See our recent announcement and Electronic Data Collection resources for more information.

• For personalized help, contact your LEA’s state assigned program analyst.
• Start early to meet the February 2, 2026, deadline and avoid the 10% late penalty.
